The deeksha cult/lessons

I am having a hard time getting my money refunded from the people at the Oneness Movement.  They have been extremely “nice” but they are basically charging me in order to refund the money.  God, I wish I never gave them the fucking money in the first place.  It’s another expensive lesson, but the same one over and over - listen to myself, not any one else who claims to have some kind of “answer”.

It seemed so appealing, the thought of all my Issues dissolving after three weeks of deeksha.  But the warning signs were there.  Signing the waiver saying I could withstand sleep and food deprivation, the high fee and the inability to leave the ashram, being told everyone has the same questions as me so I should just go with the flow and ignore what my inner voice was saying…I am grateful for my rational over-thinking mind coming in to save the day!

But now I have to deal with these mo-fo’s to get the money back.  And I am learning about cults and mind-control as I try to navigate through their system of niceties and bullshit.  They have me by the balls.  I want to write an expose on them before they get much larger, but who the hell has heard of deeksha?  Or, as they call it now, Oneness Deeksha or Oneness Prayer.  That edict came down from on high last week - maybe the authorities are getting on to the deeksha name.

The last time I was given this lesson to listen to my intuition, it came as a huge fucking wallop of a slap up against the side of my head.  Took me two years to get over that one.  And now it comes up again, same thing, different situation and luckily it’s only money this time.

I’m listening.  I get it.  I am the best and only authority on me.  No need to look outside any more.  Right now my intuition is telling me to run like hell from the Oneness Movement.  But it’s also telling me to do something.  This would be an interesting subject to write about for a magazine or some other publication and maybe it would help someone to not have the same (limited) experience I had.

  1. I had plans to go to the 21 day process but had to cancel for personal reasons. The travel agent recommended by the oneness site said there would be a cancelation fee of 300 and I would get my money in 6 weeks. Well no money in 6 weeks . It was until 7 months later that I received some money from the agent. Luthansia had returned the money to the agent early in the game. It took a lot of energy and persistance to get money back and then it was minus $600.
I think the oneness movement has beautiful teachings and some people are very sincere.
I do understand that there are expenses but I am concerned about the amount of money everything cost.
I would like to know more about others experiences.

  2. I haven’t gone to India, but I’ve had two phone deekshas so far. Both were incredible, and left me in a state of profound peace.

I don’t think the Oneness Movement is a cult, certainly not on the order of Scientology or the Jehovah’s Witnesses. It does say plainly on the website that there are no refunds.

I am curious about the waiver you had to sign. Why would they ask you to go without food or sleep? Perhaps it was for those who, because of the enlightenment process, might end up not eating or sleeping for extended periods, and they don’t want them coming back saying it was the “fault” of the Oneness Movement? Legally protecting one’s ass is always unpleasant and requires sometimes seemingly insulting language, but perhaps they are required by attorneys to put that in the contract?

  3. RE: the refund, yes the website states there is a non-refundable deposit. I knew this when I signed up. I am talking about the $5000 fee for the 21-day process. They wanted to charge me an additional $300 to get that money refunded. I told them if they plan to charge people additional fees for not going, they need to state that on the website as well, in addition to the $500 deposit. We went back and forth for weeks and I ended up getting my money back which was great.

I also got my entire plane ticket refunded which was unexpected and fabulous.

re: whether or not they are a cult, I think they are. This is not to say that I met any “bad” people. I met lovely people. They did not force me to do anything I didn’t want to do. They seemed smart and I liked being around them. But the idea that you need to pay $5000 for enlightenment ridiculous. The idea that all of that money is going to build a temple for 8000 people to meditate 24×7 so that the planet will become enlightened is also ridiculous. They could take all of that money and donate it to the poverty stricken all over India - all over the world and I would feel a helluva lot better about it.

I believe that meditation and prayer can change things and are beneficial but the very idea that this couple in India have claimed to be the enlightened ones is the problem. I met people who believed that they owed their entire lives to AmmaBhagavan - THAT is the problem and that, along with the high price tags, is why it seems like a cult to me. They are not the only ones, but they are the ones that I was introduced to. They are no different than Landmark Forum or any other cult.

If it works for you, great. I will continue to look to myself for guidance.

  4. oh - and the application waiver, you can go on the Oneness website and look for yourself - download the application. They may be covering their asses, but why do they need to cover them for things that are traditionally associated with mind control? Seems strange to me.

  5. hi dears, I am another ex…. from this big scam.
If anyone likes to know more, u can read at http://guruphiliac.blogspot.com/ where this scam is often exposed, and many people shared their sad experience.
don’t let yourself brainwash by the deeksha nonsense….. is a waist of energy,…. and money.

  6. LOL…Just got back. Loved ever minute. LOL at getting no sleep nd food. Tons of food and s much as you cn eat. Sleep if you want from 8pm till 630 or so. Most amazing time of my 51 year old life…The waiver makes it harder for silly law suit happy people from claiming silly stuff. And one can leave any time they want just not if they choose to stay on the course and there are many good reasons for this. And “http://guruphiliac.blogspot.com” is just one guy named Jody that cant put down the haterade for some reason…

  7. the mind is a slippery slope. Deeksha may sound ‘too good to be true.’ Take it from one whose learned to be sensitive to cult mentality that the Oneness University is the real thing.

  8. Om nama shivaya…
    Sorry u got nailed….

The Sanantana Dharma isn’t like that, the holiest saints of the Dharma lived in forests and caves. Beware the Sanyasi that lives in luxury. and god doesn’t want or need your money, period. Any “guru” with mass apeal in the west, promising to make you aware of your divine nature, for a price, and promising all the hard ship will go away is lying or misguided.
There is only one way to find God/Self…SEEK.

    Good luck in your search.
    OM NAMA SHIVAYA

  9. John, you are out of your head. I am delighted that you had a great time. A 21 day trip to one spot in India for $5500 USD is a poor travel bargain, and a wast of resources as far as enlightenment is concerned. I am curious, do you intend to provide Deeksha to others as part of your “enlightenment”? What will be the “suggested love offering”?

Please, don’t insult anyone’s intelligence by defending what is clearly a capitalistic enterprise with cult-like attributes.

  10. Dear folks,

I went, I paid the $$$ that are flipping most of you out, and I have absolutely no regrets. You can find all kinds of reasons to criticize anything. Face it, it is very easy to demolish, much harder to build. There is no one who is going to tell you that you “must” do this particular thing. So don’t! But why put so much energy into tearing something apart, when you don’t really know what it is? As to the Oneness Temple, I think it is fine. To have a goal to create a wave of awakening on this planet, seems an honorable goal to me. The gift I received of deeksha was worth many times the price I paid. And I have been working for many years to give whatever I can to everyone I come into contact with — whether that is help, cleaning the floors, feeding the horses, or alittle free counselling, or (as it may be) deeksha. I would only suggest to this group that not every thing on earth has to be as sordid as you seem to think.

  11. I didn’t start writing about Deeksha to tear it apart. I wrote about my experience with it because I needed to process it.

I’ve always maintained that people get something wonderful from it because I have met some of those people and yes, they give AmmaBhagavan credit for changing their lives. The problem I have with THAT sentiment is that these people have started worshiping the dual avatar. Now, if they want to do that - hey, free country, do what you want. But for myself, the whole point of awakening is to realize the divine within yourself and to realize that none of us need these “false idols” to worship. Maybe if we spent some time listening to our inner voices, we wouldn’t need someone else to tell us what is right. or what is enlightened.

It’s great to have teachers who can push you along, teach you, expose you to new things, but why do people feel like they need to give the teacher credit for everything that they are? That’s what I don’t get.

  12. As you say in the second paragraph of your first post, “I am grateful for my rational over-thinking mind coming in to save the day!” That tells me you were not following your inner voice. The mind is a sewer, and yours swept you down with the current.

  13. On second note, you may well have followed your intuition. You just weren’t meant to be there, that’s all.

  14. Well this is all QUITE fascinating.

I’ll be attending the 21 day process this August, and I look forward to it. I truly enjoy the Deeksha blessing, and have been fortunate enough to live in a town with 6 Deeksha givers.

I’m currently trolling the net for anyone who has ATTENDED the process and feels negatively about it. (I’ve got to appease my skeptical side.) My email address is katstomp3@yahoo.com.

I’m having trouble finding any negative reports from attendees. I’ve read a post on Guruphiliac’s site that is allegedly from an attendee, and it’s stating that they feel Bhagavan put a ‘cap’ on their spiritual development via ’shadow beings’. But I haven’t been able to authenticate that statement. If anyone knows who made that official statment, i’d love to get in contact with them.

    Thanks,
    Peace

  16. hi there,…
    one more ex here.
there is some people who do this process who get totally attached to it, and and with the presumption that these avatars gave them the most beautiful gift of their lifes.
There are other people who goes there,… and get upset and leave the movent. among them we have those who go through their painful process of realizing the scam they put themselves into, and stay with it, in silent, in honesty. And there are those who cannot stand their pain, and blame others for sucking them…..
these last ones, are no better than the deeksha givers. Both live in illussion.
Ones want to enlighten the world, the others want to save the world from falling into deekshaworld.
None succed in their goal. Life is here and now, and there is nothing to become, there is nothing to postpone. There is no 2012. This date is only in your mind.
I went there and I realized that I wanted to save the world. And i realized that most wanted also, many wanted to be a spiritual personality, others wanted to make business with it, and otheres thought that someone out there can give them what they already are….. how can it be?
If you are the most amazing being, what does one out there have to give you?
This guy, kalki, and his wife , are just parrots , repeating again and again the same song that is not even from them. So buy your self a parrot, and teach him to say “u are already that”, and save this money that os so important to you…. and once u realize that, u will be in service to life, by the simple fact of existing. No need to give anything to anywone, cause they already are.
    Love Yourself

  17. The commodification of enlightenment, the shamelessness and narcissism, is a tribute to our times.

  18. My wife has discovered deeksha and what a emotional
rollercoaster! Our life has been totally up-side-down. She has always been controling and now it’s worse. Wanting me to go to these workshops. I have gone to some workshops to see what it is about. It’s not some-thing I would be into. I, myself love the holy bible. I know what the inbetweengirl would say to that! So go ahead and lets hear it!…..The people are nice at the workshop, but where did my wife go?. My chilren don’t even know her either. and it scares them. ” Daddy, what is wrong with mommy? ” And yes, I hear the others on the $$$$ part too. This seems to be out of hand. Any suggestions…Please help!

  19. not much u can do, pedro…i had many friends throwing themselves into that…. no hope…
Just try to be centered. Don’t loose your center. Let herself go through whatever she chooses to. If you love her, just pray for her and u be centered.
Dont allow her to put the picture of those 2 people around you. She can put it on her wallet, or on the door of her closet….
If she starts whorshiing the image… tell her she shall whorship the divine in you.

  20. this is good reading:
    http://sunyata.blogsome.com/2006/12/20/how-some-gurus-operate/

and any good healer could check her balance, so make her go to few of them,… all will confirm she is out of her center. Good luck

  21. Thank you. I have been doing more research and the warning signs are there. Talk soon….

  22. here is a wonderful video that someone sent me. This is how it is folks? How can you live with that? Maybe my head IS in the clouds!http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2361795688769617052&q=brainwashing

  23. Dear Mauricio, I just read the reply you sent on the 18th again. What exactly did you meen “whorshop the divine in me”?

  24. “John, you are out of your head. I am delighted that you had a great time. ***Never said i was enlightened in fact i dont believe in enlightenment and they hate the word where i was at. Yes i have been giving Deeksha and it is beyond anything i could have expected. Such joy. I give it too many family members for nothing of course and the others pay what they want usually 10.00-20.00 for multiple Deeksha’s. And they come back. Again and again. I teach nothing just give Deeksha so i guess they like it eh?? And i dont have to defend anything that’s your area. You have to defend your absolute lack of understanding and any real knowledge of any of this as you have no first hand experience that i can see. I have been around many teachers and left many movements but still can not believe what i have recieved and how little is expected of me by the movement, ie. i send no money and have no control. No one has to go to India. Just get Deeksha. And if your convinced you can not spend 10.00 for yourself i hope you live in a tent in the forrest with no expenses…

  25. pedro, i meant that the only One to worship is your own Self.
Kalki is no more enlightened than u are.
You are already the divine that we tend to project outside onto someone.

J.Christian, what you give to otheres, is not but your sincere and honest wish of enlightenment , wellness, happyness and being. It has nothing to do with Kalki. It has nothing to do with deeksha. If you are sincere, the energy you transfer, comes directly from your Self.
Is not true that they dont want u to bring people to india. They are quite contradictory, because yes they say that often,…. and then,… they always ask u how many people are u doing, and how many will come. They said that each country shall bring a minimum amount of people like 400. Then maybe they decreased their demand. cause would not happen. But they put tremendous pressure to cordinators, so they bring as much people as possible. They said anyone who brings about 25 people can be a coordinator. And this gives power to the coordinators, u see…. this is how they work.

The following account is written by an acquaintance of Dr.Shankar and Vijaykumar Naidu, later to become known, to many devotees all over the world as Kalki Bhagavan. The author is sharing a lot of facts and first hand experience of Bhagavan and his first disciple, Dr.Shankar. The author met and was in regular contact with Vijaykumar in the period before he became a Guru.

It is a personal perspective and the author does not make any claims of this being the absolute truth. Readers may benefit should they empathize with the Indian style of writing.

    *********************

    Vijay Kumar and Padmavathy

This is a brief biography of Kalki Bhagavan, as I have come to know him over the years. I used to be a friend of Dr.R.Shankar and Kalki Bhagavan, or Vijay, as I knew him.

I feel it is my duty to share the experience that I’ve had with them, as they have influenced the lives of large number of people in India and abroad. I have done all I can to be as objective as possible. From my point of view I have not exaggerated or said things that did not happen, having said that, I must add that this is indeed a subjective perception of events and personalities.

When I met Kalki Bhagavan he was still called by the name his parents had given him: Vijaykumar [hereafter I shall refer to him as VK]. VK and his middle-class family speak a kind of colloquial Telugu that is neither Telugu nor Tamil. His Naidu caste has its origin in Andhra Pradesh, in the south of India. VK did not hail from an intellectual, spiritual or noble ancestry therefore his natural cultural inclination was to find security in a secure government or public sector job.

After finishing his basic education, the clever and creative VK joined Life Insurance Corporation of India [LIC] as an office clerk. When he had reached marriageable age he was quickly married off to Padmavathy, a woman from his own caste and clan. Though Padmavathy did not attend college, she could read and write but could not speak English. Padmavathy is not what we in India call a sophisticated or a cultivated lady.

She had a great female instinct and could sense her husband’s appetite for other women. She often quarrelled with him when he showed excessive interest in other women. There was even a time when a friend of mine intervened to calm the quarreling couple. Padmavathy is a very straight-talking, no-nonsense woman who often unhesitatingly confronted VK in public. Her language, while shouting at VK, was rough and somewhat disrespectful.

VK was alleged to have had a relationship with the then headmistress of Jeevasharam [in the mid 80s'] and had her dismissed when he thought it would affect his launch of a promising career as a Guru.

Padmavathy is the one person capable of embarrassing or frightening him into submission. One is not at all surprised by the strategy adopted by VK in including her in the launching of Kalki Bhagavan and Amma Spiritual Company Private Limited. This would ensure that the public know of his marital status and keep Padmavathy comfortable. Her title as Amma has also given her a sense of supreme authority in the organizational hierarchy.

    Vijaykumar meets the faithful Dr.R.Shankar

It was only a year, by sheer chance, that VK went to Don Bosco Matriculation School in Chennai. Here he felt like a fish out of water as most of the children in this school came from upper middle-class or class-conscious bourgeois families of Chennai. In this brief one year stint he managed to befriend R.Shankar. Shankar was a very sympathetic and friendly lad who was warming towards this rather isolated and fish out of water, VK.

VK got introduced to J.Krishnamurti’s [hereafter JK] teachings as a young man. It is not clear if Shankar’s mother introduced VK to JK. Shankar’s mother, Mrs. Kanaka Durga Ramachandran, as a child, was educated and influenced by J.Krishnamurti. She continued to keep all his letters and showed them to those curious about this enigmatic Indian philosopher.

Shankar’s father Mr. A Ramachandran studied law at Cambridge University and later practiced as a lawyer in “Rao and Reddy”, a popular law firm in Chennai.

Mr. A. Ramachandran abhorred the idea of caste or class superiority and so started off as a communist sympathizer; he helped workers and fought for their rights. Shankar’s parents were poles apart. Father an atheist and his mother a somewhat confused believer in everything that claimed to be religious or mysterious. VK was also quite clan and caste conscious, his initial interest in Shankar may have been because Shankar’s mother’s parents were of a mixed caste. Her mother a Brahmin and father of a Naidu caste. This was very unusual as Brahmans of those days were very caste conscious and almost never married out of caste.

Shankar, a studious and somewhat naive young man, studied science and went over to do a PhD in Theoretical Physics at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. Vijaykumar, who had lost touch with Shankar, had moved on to start a little shop in Perumbur (area in Chennai) selling rice, while working in the Life Insurance Corporation of India as an office clerk.

Learning from J. Krishnamurti and Hindu Tradition

Shankar, after completing his PhD, moved on to Germany, worked there for a few years and returned to India to marry Dr. Prema, a medical doctor. Prema, a faithful and cultured lady, kept off the spiritual “fog” that surrounded Shankar. She continued her support and loyalty towards her husband through thick and thin. Shankar, like his mother, went through much of oscillation and conflict between science and belief. He found J.Krishnamurti (JK) an ideal bridge; JK satisfied his need to close the gap between his doubts and beliefs.

Shankar went to Brockwood Park in U.K. where he met J.Krishnamurti [it was not the first time he met JK] and JK being impressed by Shankar’s dignified looks and scientific education was not late to invite him to join his foundation and head his school in Bangalore. It was this same dignity and grace that Shankar was used by Vijaykumar. A credible looking man can always sell a sub-standard product, this is a well known fact that any good marketing or sales expert would vouch for.

Vijaykumar exhibited some narcissism but always felt he lacked the handsome looks or charisma to attract a following. Shankar, on the other hand, was very articulate, had scientific credentials and very good looks. VK found people trusted Shankar and were prepared to donate land and offer financial support. When Shankar spoke people listened with rapt attention. Here was his ideal marketing manager; Vijay sprang at the opportunity of using Shankar.

Vijaykumar had a great ambition to become a Spiritual leader and this required no verifiable qualifications or education. Knowing how Indians think, I believe, with his looks and manners, he needed a man like Dr.Shankar to promote him. All he needed was an intelligent, trustworthy and sincere man like Shankar, a person who believed in him more than he himself did, to launch him on his brand name: Kalki Bhagavan. He mesmerized Shankar and possessed him and made use of him until he no longer had any need for him.

I often heard VK saying that we need people to do things and help our cause, and after they have served their purpose they can just go on with their lives. In short he meant he would use people and discard them when they have outlived their usefulness.

People, who know VK well, know he can be very opinionated and even rude when speaking about others. But when actually speaking with the person, he would always be very charming and friendly. After this person leaves, VK generally, among his “trusted” friends, had no problems saying anything derogative about the person. I never posed any threat to VK’s ambition, he perceived me as pawn in the game and so he was always friendly to me.

Vijay Kumar works at J. Krishnamurti’s school

Vijaykumar was very impressed by JK; he even named his son [Krishna] after this respected teacher. Dr.Shankar offered VK a job as an administrator in the Valley School office, (as VK did not possess teaching diplomas). Vijaykumar maintained the office files and quickly knew all the confidential information related to people’s salaries and private correspondences, he even, without asking permission, read letters JK had written to Dr.Shankar which JK had specifically asked Dr.Shankar to keep private.

Vijaykumar had worked in the LIC (Life Insurance Corporation) branch offices of Kancheepuram and Coimbatore. He seemed to have had quite an unpleasant experience with his work mates. He was particularly allergic to people who hailed from Kerala. He used to call them “Malayalathaans”, this aforementioned swear word is generally used by uneducated xenophobic Tamil chauvinists and thugs… … …

He often said that Malayalees, that is people of Kerala, are not to be trusted and to be watched!

Vijaykumar was rather distrustful of people and often charmed people to get things done. He was charming, treacherous, tactful and a master manipulator of events. He knew how to sideline people when they had outgrown their usefulness or have taken ideologies too seriously or sincerely and had unwittingly obstructed his personal agenda.

    Bhagavan never forgives

After reading the personal letters [in 1983] of JK to Dr.Shankar, Vijaykumar felt deeply hurt as JK, in his letters, was very suspicious and dismissive of VK’s various claims to have had special mystical experiences. Shankar, who totally believed Vijaykumar, had shared VK’s so called mystical experiences with some colleagues, who in turn informed JK. JK then wrote to Dr.Shankar of his opinion about entertaining “mystics” or letting them work in his school. Reading this letter deeply hurt VK’s pride and he never forgave JK. From then on his desire to become a guru in his own right got fully strengthened. He began visiting U.G. Krishnamurti. [U.G. Krishnamurti is considered an “enlightened” person by his followers, he used to bad-mouth JK, Buddha, and Ramana and says vile things about them]. While UG was visiting Bangalore, I once accompanied VK to meet UG. In the early 80s’ he met UG and learnt the art of dealing with followers. He gradually started showing his dislike for JK and even went to the extent of always addressing JK as “Avan”, a very disrespectful and derogatory Tamil term.

Foundation for World Awakening and Jeevashram

In 1983 KFI [Krishnamurti Foundation of India] was running several schools for children of the influential rich people of India. Krishnamurti was impressed by Dr.Shankar’s academic background besides his culture and international experience. As JK’s Valley School lacked cohesion, structure, stability and proper direction he decided to appoint Dr.Shankar as the Principal. Shankar knew he would not be easily accepted by the political heavy weights in that school. He brought in some loyal friends to support him. Vijaykumar was placed in the office. Krishnan Kutty Nair [hereafter KKN], a former IAS officer [a very respected title in Indian bureaucracy] had given up a promising career to join the KFI [Krishnamurti Foundation of India] in 1976. He was also invited in as a friend by Dr.Shankar.

KKN was educated and deeply interested in philosophy and Dr.Shankar invited KKN, another of his friends. KKN and VK often disagreed; VK could not tolerate Shankar appreciating KKN. VK maneuvered and gradually got KKN out of the way by gaining the most influential place in Dr.Shankar’s mind and heart. This was also the time when KFI was going through a crisis and people were leaving. VK found KKN an obstacle and a threat to the trusting and bonding relationship he was developing with Shankar.

Dr.Shankar, KKN and others wanted to propagate JK’s teachings. Many people responded to their advertisement in “India Today”, a mainstream national magazine, and wanted to join this movement. JK was appalled as he was against this way of going public with propaganda. He wanted them all to tow the line or leave the organization. This led to the exit of Dr.Shankar and all who had been brought in by him.

There were several people, most of them unemployed youth, who responded to this advertisement and had came over to offer their services, and find a way of making a meaningful living, but by this time VK and Dr.Shankar had moved on to a different agenda as they were disappointed by JK’s response. JK was also upset by the fact that Dr.Shankar had brought in many people who had no cultural affinity to JK’s approach. A sizable section of JK’s disciples are from the more educated class of India.

Dr.Shankar had in him a bit of his father’s egalitarian compassion which made him want to serve the common man. VK was a very different character; he was practical, a strategist, and a quick learner. He, unlike Shankar, was suspicious of people’s motives. His aim was to launch a universal programme acceptable to most people. VK wanted a mass based global movement to attract maximum number of people.

VK never revealed his real agenda. Once, when we were discussing the future, he let us know that a movement that is broad based and all inclusive would be necessary to attract large following so that followers would not feel any need for other complimentary systems, therapies, religions and could be easily weaned off from their original faith.

In 1982 there was no place for Dr.Shankar and others to go and at this time VK had been on a long leave from his LIC job. If he hadn’t turned up in 90 days he would have lost his job. Luckily he went back and joined LIC on time.

But, in the meanwhile, a piece of land was available; this land was gifted by Dr. Rajasekar Reddy, a surgeon at Stanley Medical College Hospital. He met two former teachers from JK’s Rishi Valley School, and offered them his land in Rajupeta. As these two teachers did not know what they should do with so much land they called Dr.Shankar to talk to Dr. Reddy. This was how Rajupeta land, near Kuppam, was acquired. After acquiring this land VK and Shankar started an organization called: Foundation for World Awakening. The land donated by Dr. Reddy was taken over on a 99 years lease period and converted into Jeevashram; a school modelled to imitate Rishi Valley School but soon it was used as a launching pad for Kalki’s coming to save our world. It was here that Kalki’s story from rags to riches began. Though he initially began to dream of Gurudom to rival JK, he ended up creating a hierarchy and started “enjoying” the perks of unquestioned authority and complete obedience from his devoted followers.

Ex-followers and true believers of Bhagavan

There were several other people who had trusted Dr.Shankar’s belief that Vijaykumar was destined for “Stardom”. This higher education or PhD in physics is no guaranty for wisdom in all fields. In fact, Dr.Shankar wasn’t that balanced emotionally and sought a foster father in JK and later in VK. Most people who knew Vijaykumar are indeed very shocked to read about his claims that he and his wife, Padmavathy or Amma, had created the Universe. If people were to meet his acquaintances in Valley School or ex-colleagues in the LIC, they could learn much more about VK’s evolution.

Decent people like Loganathan, Captain Kumar or Dr.Shankar would probably not dare to discuss their doubts about or suspicions of Vijaykumar publicly; there is always this fear of their own safety and that of their families. In India, it is quite common that Gurus use their thugs, hoodlums and hit-men to orchestrate an accident and kill off people who are critical of them.

Dr.Shankar was the one arranging the Movement around Kalki Bhagavan and for a long time was the only disciple of Kalki Bhagavan. He is no longer in Kalki Bhagavan’s Movement and avoids commenting. Today he is living a quiet life in Chennai studying astrology.

    Bhagavan’s plans for the Universe

This is how a con-man transformed himself to an opportunistic manipulator of events. He called himself Acharya and gradually maneuvered to make people call him “Paramaguru” [roughly translated: the supreme teacher] and later graduated into Kalki Bhagavan [meaning roughly "The Lord God Messiah"].

In India, people tend to ignore thousands of budding Gurus, this makes Gurus go around scout for credible people [like Dr. Shankar, Judges, successful people, politicians, actors, artists, scholars], to endorse them. When Westerners gather and show devotion to a budding Guru, his Indian following increases manifold, because the average Indian thinks highly of the white skinned affluent truth seeker. Moreover, Westerners are in general unaware of the lurking greed for money and power in the Guru’s mind. They themselves like the special attention and feel elated and euphoric when the Guru glances or smiles at them. Gurus are often clever, they offer very useful courses to comfort the [budding] follower. When the prospective follower finds some benefit, he/she is encouraged and made to feel a sense of hope and feel very important, he/she is told that enlightenment is not far away. This makes the fanatic follower go around scouting for new recruits to spread this “divine mission” which he sincerely believes in.

People looking for security in their not-so peaceful lives, might benefit from the courses Vijaykumar has put together. He has borrowed most of the ideas from the teachings of JK, meditation techniques of S.N. Goenka of the Vipassana foundation, several other teachers like Ramana Maharishi and yoga teachers, besides generously borrowing from the goldmine of Indian Hindu and Buddhist traditions.

These disciples, desperately longing for enlightenment or to put it differently: want ultimate power or understanding of life, or desperately seek answers to their burning questions, give their hard earned money and labour to this “Master”. It would be sad if they live this lie and do not discover the real Vijaykumar Naidu behind the Kalki Bhagavan mask. If they dare to question, doubt and seek real truth they would be freed from living a lie.

These kinds of false prophets bring shame and disgrace to India! One thing common to most popular gurus today is that they do not want you to renounce the religion you were born into, all they ask is gradual acquaintance with their system and once you fully get conditioned or indoctrinated they suck you into their inner circle. After you are found to be a loyal follower they ask you to promote, spread and bring in new converts to their brand of pseudo-spirituality. When you bring in many converts you are subtly rewarded by granting you special private interviews, promotion in the hierarchy and a fast lane to enlightenment!

I do not want to risk my life or that of my loved ones so I prefer to stay anonymous. I, as a fellow traveller in search of truth, feel a compulsion to share my perceptions, it is up to you, the reader, to interpret, misinterpret or perceive as you like.

  26. “.Christian, what you give to otheres, is not but your sincere and honest wish of enlightenment , wellness, happyness and being. It has nothing to do with Kalki. It has nothing to do with deeksha. If you are sincere, the energy you transfer, comes directly from your Self.”

***Well before i did not have this intense energy transmit through me. I now do. I do nothing and it pours forth. When done i feel an amazing amount of love, energy and bliss. I did not before. Who can say where what comes form only that it comes and is so powerful as to not be mistaken…

  27. I am also an ex follower. It has been interesting to read this blog. The article above feels authentic. I can recommend to go through http://www.freewebs.com/deekshashadows/ That os the new site by Freddie, as the other one seems to be hijacked by some fanatic Bhagavan devotees.
Many ex followers as well as people who are still in deeksha movement have found ways (free of charge) that give much deeper results than the expeensive deekshas. See http://www.deekshafire.com/?Ilahinoor as an example.
Just to inform all of you, many have become psychitic during the 21 days course in Golden City. Other have committed suicide also. The majority are getting into deep depressions after getting a deeksha high.
I know for sure it is a money thing, nothing but that.
A friend of mine was asked to bring back the 5000$ to Sweden and then put that money into an off shore account. Bhagavan seems to refuse to pay Indian tax also.
If you want to give deeksha, you can do it better WITOUT having to go through the 21 days course. try and you will see. Just pray to the source. For me that works much more powerfully and deep than any deeksha.

  28. It is fascinating that mostly negative people post on most forums. Not sure if this helps, but maybe try to take responsibility for your actions? Being a victim is pretending that someone else can be responsible for you. “Responsibility is EMPOWERMENT!”

For me and only me: I have doctor documented evidence of a true miracle in my life from Deeksha/Oneness Blessing.

I don’t really care for all the judgement and anguish and incessant thinking that most posters seem to be stuck in. These kinds of mental/emotional activities have ruled/ruined my life in the past. I suggest using your heart towards yourself and your fellow humans. No one, no thing is perfect. Not even YOU!

It might be this simple: if something works for you, use it. if it stops working, stop using it. if it doesn’t work, don’t use it. Blame, criticism, spending lots of energy trying to disprove, discredit and/or focus on who you don’t like, what you don’t want is wasting your valuable time, energy and FUN! It is your life enjoy the heck out of it.

I am going to India for the 21 day process. I want more of what I have been receiving. If it stops working or if I dont like what I discover over there, I will come home. I can’t blame the Oneness Movement for MY choices.

    peace and anger and understanding,

trying to let smeagle out of a die hard gollum :)

  29. I do not want to risk my life or that of my loved ones so I prefer to stay anonymous. I, as a fellow traveller in search of truth, feel a compulsion to share my perceptions, it is up to you, the reader, to interpret, misinterpret or perceive as you like.

  32. One Question? What about the miraculous healing Sage Robbins had? Are you gonna say that’s fake, too?

  33. When Arjuna asked some Dasa’s about some 20 people or so who have claimed to be Enlightened (Freddy, Kiara, Barry???), superstars of the Deeksha movement, he was told that no one on the list was enlightened. Not one. Bhagavan then gave hime a list of about 12 names to interview. The message of these 12 are SO different than Freddies and othere’s experiences. They are what you would expect. Humble, quite, happy and really not wanting to say much of anything. Makes you wonder about those who claimed amazing enlightenments (most likely “states”). Not that these are bad people but they are NOT the best to speak with of this work. The best? Just go to a local Deeksha gathering where you can recieve this “expensive” Deeksha (10.00-20.00, or in many cases mine included donate what you can if you can) and see. For your selves. Not Freddies experience but your own. If you go to a meeting where there are multiple givers and many recieving, it can feel angelic to both the giver and reciever. Try it. Or not.

  34. hi, I´m an ex too, from southamerica. Met Bhagavan in 1999 and spent 1 month in Satyaloka, over there everything seemed beautiful… I felt in love with what I felt was divine, Then went three more times, including 21 days process and the 10 days deepening one, spent lots of money waiting for the promise, being totally devoted, spreading this movement and giving the deeksha. After my 21 days I was in a joyful state for about a year, I took wrong decisions that change my life, then after the 10 days I went in deep depression, I was in total suffering and got lost, etc. Today I`m out of all this nonsense… thanks

  35. Hello

    Very interesting information! Thanks!

    G’night

  36. So m.c. your blaming your trauma’s on the Oneness movement??? I still have emotional storms as well but they come and they go, same with happiness. They rize and sieze. There is a deep silence that permeates it all now. As long as you operate from the constricts of the mind there will be suffering, with or without Deeksha…

  37. Recently I discovered a cool blog (http://deekshasecrets.blogspot.com)
and I saw that the scientist that is all the time quoted by Bhagavan and the deeksha websites have left the Oneness Movement. As usual Bhagavan and their webpage are silent about it, maybe they are ashamed that more and more respected people leave Oneness.
I read that a Swedish deekshagiver says that life has been a nightmare for many deekshagivers in Sweden, they are in a very bad shape and are also left without support from Bhagavan and his team. Probably Bhagavan has sucked out enough money from them, and they can be left in their pain…
Below will paste part of the text. See the whole discussion on
http://deekshasecrets.blogspot.com/2007/07/discussion-on-blog-on-wwwdeekshase.html - it includes the confirmation of a high rank deekshagiver in USA who says that the sistuation is similar in the US.

This can possibly be of interest for people who feel bad after all those deekshas they have received
    From the blog on http://www.deeksha.se

I have had an email conversation with Barry in USA, and some of what he has written can possibly be of interest for people who feel bad after all those deekshas they have received. I came on contact with Barry after reading about Ilahinoor on internet.
I wrote a little about how I and others have experienced how it has been here in Sweden after the process and with the deekshagiving.
What I wrote is with “usual” text, Barry’s answers are in capital letter except his last email.

    ***

What has happened to many here in Sweden is that after the process in GC there are no real support or advices how to handle all those things that can come up from the shadows.
Many included myself have gone into deep states of meaninglessness, pain, increased fears, and after some time it turns into distrust and alot of hate and irritation comes into life.
The last year seem to many more have been a nightmare and there seems to be no way out.

I AM VERY SAD AND CONCERNED TO SEE THIS. I WOULD STOP RECEIVING DIKSHAS RIGHT AWAY, AS YOU NEED TIME TO INTEGRATE. THE DIKSHA IS STIRRING TOO MUCH STUFF UP. TRY THE ILAHINOOR MAYBE ONCE A WEEK FOR A FEW WEEKS AND LET ME KNOW IF THINGS SETTLE IN. IT IS DESIGNED TO DEEPEN THINGS.YOU NEED ASSISTANCE TO PROCESS WHAT IS ARISING, SIMPLE. YOU SEE THE DIKSHA IS AN ENERGETIC INPUT WHICH STIRS STUFF UP FROM THE SUBCONSCIOUS. BUT THERE HAS TO BE ANOTHER APPROACH TO EFFECTIVELY ADDRESS WHAT IS SURFACING. THERE IS A HUGE VOID HERE AS YOU SEE.

2004 and 2005 deeksha was very popular here in Sweden and everything had an hopeful feeling about it.
But when people have recieved lots and lots of deekshas and still have the same problems in life the intressed decreased and the last months it seems like it has been a stand still here.

THIS IS LIFE SPEAKING, TAKING CARE OF ITSELF. THERE ARE THREE STAGES TO THE TRANSFORMATIONAL PROCESS. THERE IS THE INITIATION OR ACTIVATION STAGE,WHICH THE DIKSHA DOES WELL, THEN THE PURIFICATION OR CLEARING STAGE DURING THE SHADOW MATERIAL IS BROUGHT IN TO CONSCIOUS UNION WITH THE SOUL, AND THEN THE INTEGRATIONS STAGE IN WHICH THE TRANSFORMATION THAT HAS OCCURRED CAN BE TRANSLATED INTO ONE’S OUTER LIFE. IF ONE KEEPS GIVING DIKSHAS AGAIN AND AGAIN, WITHOUT SUPPORTING THE OTHER TWO PARTS OF THE TRANSFORMATIONAL PROCESS LIFE BEGINS TO SUFFER. ALL THE UNPROCESSED STUFF GETS BACKED UP AND EVENTUALLY ONE DESCENDS DEEPER AND DEEPER WHICH IS LIFES WAY OF ATTEMPTING TO MAKE THE NECESSARY DESCENT TO MERGE WITH AND RECOVER ALL THAT IS BEING STIRRED UP. ‘BUT IF ONE KEEPS GETTING ANOTHER DIKSHA TO GET A PICK UP THIS IS NEVER ALLOWED TO HAPPEN. AS A RESULT THE DARK STUFF JUST GETS STRONGER AND STRONGER. IT WILL EVENTUALLY LEAD TO DEEP DEPRESSION AND NOT WANTING TO LIVE. THE ADDICTION TO THE HIGH AND THE BLISS COUPLED WITH THE MESSAGE THAT THE DIKSHA IS ENOUGH BY ITSELF CAN BE A VERY DANGEROUS COMBINATION. IF PEOPLE KEEP WANTING THE HIGH AND NOT WANTING TO GO DEEP IN THE DARK STUFF AND ARE BEING TOLD THEY DON’T HAVE TO IT CAN SPIRAL DOWN AND DOWN. I CAN TELL YOU THIS FROM EXPERIENCE.

It is nothing the “organizers” want to talk about, all the bad things are shoveled under the mat and we almost get no information at all. And you only get short answers from GC that we should pray to Amma Bhagavan or similar answers, if you get any answers at all.
Many feel that they have been used and fooled for large amount of money.

GC JUST DOESN’T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT, NOR DO THEY HAVE THE EXPERTISE OR THE RESOURCES. AND AS YOU SAY, SOMEONE NEEDS TO FACE THE SHADOW HERE OF NOT DEALING WITH THE ENTIRE TRANSFORMATIONAL PROCESS. I TOO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE LACK OF RESPONSE FROM THEM. WE FINALLY GAVE UP AND REALIZED WE WERE ON OUR OWN.

Some have nice experiences from deeksha, but it is just short experiences before they fall back again, others don’t feel much at all.

THIS WON’T WORK FOR ALL THE REASONS ABOVE.

  38. If a teacher does not offer you your freedom, walk away.

  39. Exactly

  40. Can someone plese explain in detail what is involved in Ilahinoor . I have read somewhere that you have to drink a bucket of fluid or some of this substance which could have Ahayuasca in it and other herbs and that there is some vomiting . Then you would be having some altered experience and claim it as a result of the effect of Deeksha . Obviously you do not know what exactly is in the substance you are ingesting, right ? They would tell you something like we have a secret concoction “that will cleanse you and prepare you for receiving the grace of Deeksha .” No? Maybe this is some rumour about the Ahayuasca.

I have not received Deeksha to have my brain reversed (though a friend gave it to me without telling me ) and I do not want to pay money to touch the Fat Bitches feet , as I have read the Indians pay to do .

Yes I believe that you can have a very good feel good vibe from being with a group of loving people and getting high on this energy is actually possible . Like a drug it can wear off and this is not Enlightenment (What does not come and go ? ) but a mere movement of Shakti (Power of Lifeforce ) , and Shakti is everywhere; the moment you open your eyes to the world is Shakti . Robbie Williams can have the same power when he touches a screaming girls hands , when he has Three Hundred Thousand people listening to him and then he touches this girls hands she gets the energy of Three hundred Thousand people plus ROBBIE!!!!!!!! AND THEY ARE screaming for joy about Robbie . Such is the phenonenon of Shaktipath or Shakti sadhanas.

This Oness movement is claiming that thousands of people will get Enlightened by 2012, this date sounds very familiar to the end of the Mayan Calendar that everyone is going on about. Is this the same ? So I don’t have a problem with the feel good vibes. I would’nt mind getting it myself , can someone send me some feel good vibes please ? can you send me Deeksha ? I mean do you have to know my name and all that ? Do I have to be on the phone with you ? Anyway this Enlightenment by the year so and so , It does not work like that , cause there is no enlightenment in the ultimate knowledge . No ONE can get it . This is clearly stated in the Upanishads . And in the Ajati Vada view which states that ‘nothing ever happened’ or the doctrine of no creation an expression of the Abolute reality .

” there is no dissolution, no birth , none in bondage and none aspiring for wisdom , no seeker of liberation and none liberated. This is the Absolute Truth. ” Mandukya Karika .

If you look within, if you inquire , if you investigate into your existence you will find no one is running the show , clear as can be , there is no taking or giving in the ‘ kingdom within”.

If this has gone over your head, best have a good time and use your money where it can be useful rather than put it in some off shore account for some guy whose taking you for a ride .

  41. I think to speak of enlightenment before YOU know what it is means little. I can send you Deeksha but would like a picture and name.

  42. I never use the word enlightenment but because it is mentioned in the Onenss movement I have used the word . Self Inquiry or Atma Vichar is a most effective way to quieten the mind , it is meeting your own nature as you are ,and is thousands of years older than this Deeksha method as I explained at the END of the entry (forget about the first part ). See within if you are some body or not .Is this place with or without time , does it have a name shape or form . Can you say that this makes you enlightened ? For here you cannot find such a thing . In this there is no other to give or take Deeksha , for this is seeing or being Deeksha ITSELF, without another. This is NOT dependant on you or me .

John No thankyou ,I was just wanted to know if Deeksha can be sent without a picture or a phone call , curious if it works that way.

I am not against this Deeksha; people can run a muck and do what the heck they like and be fooled. I have already pointed out you have to see that this matter of being promised enlightenment has nothing to do with feeling good .It has nothing to do with what you or I know about waking up .It has nothing to do with the chosen few .So how can YOU say I know little about the matter? That is too much , for I know nothing more than or less than YOU do . In fact I have no way of knowing that you know or don’t know . All I know is that when I see into the core of beingness knowledge and ignorance vanish . Just simply look within . No effort no time , nobody to know more than or less than ,YOU.

  43. I have been back from India for a couple of weeks. I have no reason to write except that some people who are so angry and so scared but really want a way to hope might read this and wonder. (I have no idea if the OM is the ONLY way to hope. It just is working for me.)

The 21 day course is worth millions of dollars to me. And I do see why inbetweengirl left. I wanted to leave at one point. It was part of my process. I do not know why some people find happiness and others are miserable. I have been miserable for 42 years and now I am ok with life. I do know why the 21 day course has given me so many tangible real world changes with my parents and my work and my friends. I do not know why others seem to get ‘nothing’ out of it. What I have to say is, if you are thinking of going and your life is changed awesome. And if you are misearble like most of the people on these OM bashing forums and you end up more miserable. Then nothing is lost and you have more hate fuel to live on. It is a win win as far as I can tell. Anyone want to discuss what happened to me, just ask. I am amamazed at my life and my roomates lives since we showed up in India August 2.

  46. Smeagle, what miracle occurred? I am not a scoffer, I am an empiricist, believing that if something happens, it’s obviously possible. Obviously, there are deceivers and charlatans out there, but that only means you have to use critical thinking, not that you have to align with an orthodoxy that throws out all bathwater, babies be damned. I wonder how often you check this page, now that two months have elapsed…

  47. [...] http://inbetweengirl.wordpress.com/2007/01/06/the-deeksha-cultlessons/ [...]

  48. Hey Fingal. I do not check very often. I’m busy living my life not fighting with people over their beliefs. Everyone has a right to live life exactly how they see it. In the past, I felt moved to post on this site a few times. If you want to write me and talk about the changes that happened and are happening, please do. smeagle978@juno.com. Also, believe it or not. There are so many people’s lives who have changed just like mine it is amazing. I’m thankful that I found something that works for me. It doesn’t have to work for anyone else. I was looking for help for me. PS. It is also not surprising to me that the some of the people that hate (notice I didn’t say ignore) the OM are touting a different energy. This dark energy fits their current state to the “T”.

  49. This has been a great guide for me in my (mostly) joyful search for the truth : “The value of any spiritual offering is in indirect proportion to the price at the temple door.” I forget where I got it from but I do know that we are all energetic beings and the the energy that created the universe is freely available and free for the asking. Almost any kind of system will give you an experience, even a healing if you allow it, but there’s no power in the system it’s in you. Yep, little you and, of course Dr Piglet who performs the Pork Blessing - er… or is it the Pork Dressing? Sorry, I’m here for fun, how about you?

  50. excuse me but inbetweengirl is right. that emple is being built for more than 6 years, every year they say “this march it ll be completed” otherwise check their income from all this.

    1.bhagwan personal family darshan - Rs.1,00,000 a day (a min of 10 people attend)
    2. bhagwan personal drashan (individual) - Rs.6500 a day (atleast 500 ppl attend a day)
    3. homa utsava - Rs.58,500 ( 2000 of these in the month of october - navratri)
    4. small poojas conducted in homes - Rs.100 ( a lakh a day all over india)
    5. kalash poojas done at homes - Rs.521 ( atleast a 1000 a day)
    6. amma personal drashan - Rs.6500 (atleast 500 a day)
    7. amma family darshan - Rs.25,000 (atleast 50 a day)
    8. wearing vraa mala - Rs.500 (a min of 1,000 people a day at nemam)
    9. bhagavan darsha for the same - Rs.621 ( same no of people)
    10. there are also sevak darshans for 6500

consider that all these events have been going on for 8 years now. why isnt the GC temple completed yet???
its because its going to mercedes benz’s , ammas jewellery , and their studios and software companies (in US)

if the temple gets completed , theres no reasonm for them to collect money right?? so they cant let it complete till they think up a new plan to hoodwink you into donating more money

  51. Hi All, I returned from the 21 day retreat three weeks ago. I felt it was a life enhancing experience. The dasas (guides) were very loving and articulate. The program was a wonderful mix of meditation, prayer, spiritual teachings, breathing exercises, silence and even some western psychology. We spent a lot of time deepening our connection with the divine. I asked several times for a sign from the divine that what I was experiencing was real and the divine responded back promptly.

I also feel like 20 years of therapy, workshops, meditation and spiritual practices became more assimilated and integrated for me. I feel very blessed to have gone to the Oneness University and many of my fellow participants plan to attend the next deepening.

I also want to share that I have spent time in groups and communities which some consider cults and I have gained immeasurably even when the teacher was not fully enlightened.

Even if Sri Amma and Bhagavan turn out to be a total fraud, I have already gained so much. I have a deeper connection to the divine than I have ever had, on a daily basis I pray for myself and those I love, I have moved deeper into service, my daily practices have deepened, my addictions have lost their grip, I have hope for humanity, I feel more joy in my life and my children have become a greater priority for me.

Everyone will have their own unique experience, some good, some bad. All I can say is to follow your intuition and heart. I did and I am grateful. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at brandencohen@hughes.net.

I share my love and prayers for well being to all. Thanks for reading. Peace, Branden

  52. Fingal not sure if my email got lost in your spam box or our conversation is finished. I did reply.

  53. The Deeksha gave me a psychosis!

My name is Dennis and I have always been a calm, relaxed person. A good friend of mine introduced me to yoga and it was a true blessing for me. We sometimes went out att night and did yoga under the stars. Since yoga had been so good for me I started meditation. I joined a buddhist community. I reached a peace I had never felt before in my life, I was very happy.

One day my massage therapist told me about a woman that had a special healing abilty, they call it deeksha, he said. We talked about this for a while and I started to get curious. I week later I found myself in a small room with ten others. The “healing woman” was there. She told her story about how she had found peace in India through a 21 day process. I thought it sounded kind of strange. Then the deeksha started. The deeksha giver walked around and put her hands on our heads. When I felt her hands on my head I started crying. Then she burst out in laughter and I started laughting too, even I felt I needed to cry. It didn’t feel good at all.

After the deeksha I got into my car and drove home. I felt quite peaceful. Next morning when I woke up it felt like my head was going to explode. I was feeling nauseus and felt like throwing up. Then I got the feeling that someone was trying to controll me. I went outside to take a walk and have some fresh air. It didn’t help. It felt like there was a dark force inside of me trying to controll me. I was terrified. I went to my parents and they took me to the mental hospital. At the hospital I was diagnosned with psychosis. I had to take three different kind of medicines.

About a month later I felt a little better and could leave the hospital. But I was depressed and the depression got worse over the days. I started to have suicidal thoughts. It came to the point where I planned how to do it. I didn’t want to live anymore. I told my parents this so they took me to the hospital again, and I was hospitalized for a second time. When I got out again some weeks later I felt a little better. It was still very hard to get up every morning. My friends and family pulled me up and took me out to the forest every day. Somehow this helped. I got more clear in my head, maybe even some of that deeksha energy was leaving me. As I got better I decreased my medication. And a bit later I tried meditating again. After sitting down for about 2 minutes I saw flashing bolts of light going into my mouth and then down my head. I stopped meditating. I felt nauseus. It went away, and instead I was filled with fear.

I contacted an enlightened teacher I really trust and told him what I was going through. He said to just feel the fear and stay with it, and don’t build any stories around it. I did this for a few days, just sat infront of my computer and felt all the feelings that came up. It was mostly fear. Then I felt better again. I even tried mediation and this time it worked fine, the deeksha energy seemed to be out of my system. This is where I am now. I’m trying to rebuild my life, and become the relaxed, joyful guy I ones was.

I have suffered a lot because of that one deeksha. I was in a really bad shape for well over a year.

Don’t let anyone fool you into trying deeksha. It totally messes up your energy system. It took a lifetime to build it, don’t ruin it in one day.

    Peace and love/ Dennis

  55. i have been deeply surprized by some of your experiences with DEEKSHA, but i guess not too surprized. I became aware of this energy healing about 9 months ago when my mother came in ranting and raving about it. Now i have had many issues with my mother in the past and i tired my best to rise above them and view this form a spiritual aspect. She seemed to need it for what ever reasons…however i place great emphasisis on the NEED bit. She’s had this thing for years in chasing every new healing craze and not really finding her own light and god given gift. we all have one. and i know i do my best to stay centered in my own light and divine connection to god. been given the gift of mediumshiop i am extreamely open and aware of all sorts of energies. i certainly dont know everything but i do try and trust my inner guide to my best ability. having suffered depression and also alot of funny energies for years, i’ve become acustomeed to sussing out things that are not healthy and do my my best to rectify them under gods’ light. its noticing them and acting as quickly as possible that helps…but when a blanket of negtivity comes my way, sourcing it is vital to my well being…anyway without prattling my point is, my mum has been a good guide to me even if often the lessons tough but she did assist my spiritual journey in a big way…and all credit to her and god…for assisting through her….when she mentioned deepksha, i BALKED, didnt sit with me at all, i felt nervous and i asked over and over again was i resisting healing, was their a part of me that didnt want to change…my mother has been too india three times and even offered to pay for me to go, i am still firm and insistent that i do not wish to go…i would love to go to india in general, but no way am i going there. is it me been scared of change…maybe, but my gut says no way…anyhow i did allow her to do some deeksha with me, each time i was like a tyrant after, was it bringing up something deep dark and lurking within me? maybe…but i am a child of god, i work extensively on myself, was there more i hadnt discovered? i became more distraught at that idea and went into paranoia mode, completly throwing me of my center, chaos kicked back into place…a chaos i thought i had worked hard to heal, hmmm something wasnt right and i spoke to the boss himself, as i often do when in strife…i was simply told why seek more than what you already have, where you not happy with all i had given and shown you..did i not teach you to honour your own truth.did you stray again that you could not listen to your heart when i told you no, this was not for you….I personaly tried to make no judgemnt with regards to Deeksha…even though its hard not to at times…i can feel the woozey drunk feeling i get from it..is that normal? who is to really know? but it makes me feel scared and tetchy, anything that makes me feel that way i try to avoid, for fear it is not of god, only love comes from him, anything that is beyond that does not exist in his esscence. Anyhow i attended a workshop where my mum once again gave Deepsha a week ago, for days prior to that workshop, i repeatedly experienced blackouts and one also occured whilst in goup, i came away from that day feeling worse, not better and my head has banged for days. it cleared and is back again now as i speak of this…is this normal? i dont feel it is? with my line of work, i often have the horrid task of spirit releasment, some not so pleasant to deal with, however this enrgy i experience is very similar to the feeling i at times get after working with unhealthy attachments? am i doing wrong? can someone advise me? or is it true that my gut is telling me that Deeksha is not of God? never mind the money aspects, that makes me feel uncomfortable, or should i say the high level of money intake with this God Given Gift….Children starving on the streets around them and all that. I know in my heart that if i ever had the privilge of going to India, it would be to assist on a human level, where it is desperately needed. We all need healing, certainly and maybe these people at one time did believe in there cause, but i somehow i feel they have drifted from there true vision…it happens, and it cant be faulted, but for those who continue to go in there droves to this place, are they falling victim to this process that doesnt seem to align with true spiritual value. i dunno. am raving i think, but if i was to be blunt and honest i would say its a complete scam and screams of what i would identify to be what we call psychic vampires, weather they are intentionally doing this or the whole thing has been taken over by aliens (excuse the pun, but you get what i mean) seems far more realistic thena the idea of it taking over 8 years to build this temple, considering the amount of money they have already raised…when does it end? and when do we see the results of their labour? When i questioned my mum, i came up against a wall, and alot of evaisve answers, wot of the kids on the streets, people living in card board boxes if their lucky, i was told, its their KARMA, hello, karma or nor karma, still doesnt make it right. but thats just me. i do believe we all have our expereinces to go through, but given if i had a tenner in my pocket and had to choose paying for DEEKSHA AND PUTTING FOOD IN A CHILDS MOUTH, i know exactly what god would ask of me….By the way, has anyone paid for Deeksha of a person who has gone to india? Everyone’s time is important certainly…paying for this blessed gift that was so freely given to its founders seems a bit whack…hmmm any way dont mind me, just a hopefully humble person making an observation…if anyone can help me with these fuzzey hangover sensations i keep getting after it, would be greatful for their knowledge…Angel Blessings all!

  56. someone please tell me how to come in normal stage my father died due to this i want to know how to come from this please anyone tell me .

  57. Well, nowadays u don’t have to get Deeksha all the way in India for large sums of money. It is more accessible everywhere.
As for enlightenment, The master or guru or person that guided you towards it doesn’t have to be enlightened for you to reach enlightenment. It is a personal inner/outer experience.
As for the “dark and fearful feelings” ……well that is a step towards expansion, it is the loss of the self that causes that emotion, people fear change and loss of their ego. Taken out of your comfy zone of knowing who you are as a seperate being in the world can send people who are not prepared,..into turmoil. Don’t seek Oneness if you are not ready to expand and accept we are all one. Loss of identity will make a person lose it if they are not ready. But that does not mean deeksha it is a bad dark energy, it just means YOU who experienced the darkness, is not ready yet to go into that state of being.

  58. Blessings to all of you regardless if you think this is a cult or not. My experience is that it is NOT a cult. I have come and gone as I please. I still use the practices I as taught and no one has MADE me do anything that I did not want to do.

For another beautiful practice check out Ho’ Oponopono it is another deep and profound teaching of taking responsibility for everything.

    Much love.

  59. As a Indian, my advice to all you foriegners coming to this deeksha,,is please donot believe any one who claims he is a ‘God’. If you are so much interested in finding truth, please read ‘bhagavadgeetha’ - everything in the world is in this book. this is much cheaper and close to GOD.
